Dear Parents/Carers,
Happy New Year to one and all.
This term promises to be a demanding time for many of our students, particularly Key Stage 4, since many controlled assessments and external exams will take place, in addition to the continuous preparation for the exams in the summer term.
Controlled assessments are part of your child’s formal qualifications, the results of which contribute largely to their final grade in particular subjects, therefore, it is imperative that all students aim to achieve 100% attendance and aim to be punctual every day otherwise there is the risk of missing important work. Please support the Academy by booking family holidays to coincide with Academy holidays.
Your child should have given you their half termly tracker report at the end of last term detailing their expected grades and how they are progressing towards achieving their targets. The aim of the tracker is to keep you informed about your child’s progress and to ensure that every student achieves their potential. If you haven’t already done so please discuss this with your child and return the reply slip to the Academy as soon as possible.
Thank you for continuing to support us with the Academy uniform, however, can I remind you that tattoos should not be seen on any student as it is against the law to have a tattoo until the age of 18. Any students seen to have tattoos will be reported to the police who will take the appropriate action.
Yours Sincerely

Sonia Taylor
